Contraindications for cosmetic tattooing:
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Under 18 years of age
Hemophilia
Keloid scarring
Keratosis
Vascular birthmark in area of treatment
Sunburnt skin
Severe acne/ rosacea around area of treatment
Currently on or have been on Accutane within the year
Using or have used any lash growth serum within 6 weeks
For the following, we can proceed with tretment after we receive your GP’s approval letter that you will need to obtain.
Chemotherapy: 6 weeks before or 6 months after last session
Diabetes
Heart Condition and on cardiovascular medications
High blood pressure and on blood thinning medications
Experience seizures/ epilepsy

Whilst topical anesthetic is used before and during the procedure, you may feel discomfort depending on your pain tolerance level. Some ladies fall asleep during, and some experience slight pain akin to having brow hairs plucked, and some feel the slight pressure but no pain at all. I recommend advanced planning to avoid having your appointment on days you are on your period as you will be more sensitive during this time.

Generally around 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours. This includes time for paperwork and numbing.

- Bring along reference photos of your ideal brow shape.
- Bring along makeup products if desired, to touch up for “before and after” photos.
- Children under 18 are not allowed in the treatment room, it would be ideal to arrange for childcare. -
Approximately 14 days for skin to heal on the surface, and 6 to 8 weeks for pigment to settle in the skin. There is no down time so you may resume work as usual, just without makeup on treated areas.

We may or may not be able to work over previous tattoos, depending on how faded it is. You will be required to send a clear close up photo of your brows to determine if tattoo removal is needed.

Cosmetic tattoo will generally fade over time, with darker colours lasting longer than lighter toned colours. Feather brows can last for 12 to 18 months, and more saturated powder brows can last from 1 to 3 years. Lip and eye tattoo generally lasts 3 to 5 years. Eyeliner tattoo may last up to 7 years with fading over time.
Personal lifestyle is a factor as exposure to sun, sweat, facial products and facial treatments affects the pigment.
Certain medications can also interfere with pigment retention. It is very crucial to follow post-care treatment to get the best results.
However, no skin the the same and results may vary with individual clients and no guarantee will be made, but we do strive to ensure each client is happy with the work they receive.
